Haymarket Metro Station is 3 minutes' walk away. 

Up to three children aged 11 and under can travel for free on the Metro and the Shields Ferry with a fare-paying adult.

By Rail

Mainline rail connections to Newcastle upon Tyne arrive at Central Station and Haymarket is two stops away on the Tyne & Wear Metro.

Services from operators like LNER, Northern Rail, and TransPennine Express run regularly to Newcastle, ensuring convenient access for festival-goers. Plan your visit here.

By Foot or Bicycle

We also encourage you to consider sustainable travel options. Walking or cycling not only reduces your carbon footprint but also allows you to soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Newcastle. If you choose to cycle, please note that all cyclists will be kindly asked to dismount on the section of the national cycle route that traverses the Civic Centre Garden.

We encourage and support carpooling and private transport sharing to attend the festival as well as the use of electric vehicles

By Car

Car Park address: Sandyford Square (Civic Centre) Car Park, Hancock St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 8PB

The Civic Centre car park is accessed through the traffic barrier beside the Sandyford Square car park. All parking spaces are offered on a first come, first served basis and charged at the same rates as normal pay and display parking.

Pick up and drop off for those with access needs is in the Civic Centre car park. There is a wheelchair accessible route from the car park around the building to Ceremonial Way. It is approx 100 meters from the car park to the Civic Centre entrance using this route.
